About

The dictionary defines beauty as “a combination of qualities, such as shape, color, or form, that pleases the aesthetic senses, especially sight.” Beauty in design through line, shape, space, texture, color, scale, and balance is what Razzberry Wimzy is all about. Beauty is not defined by trends but on the styling in the design. From a designed space to a vase of flowers, our hope is that we can bring beauty into your home or office through the custom services, fabrics, and the home decor we offer.

We are the only home furnishing store in downtown Lee’s Summit with an in house upholstery and paint studio. We offer bespoke (custom made), new, re-purposed, refurbished, and vintage items. We know that upholstery and furniture are investments. Our product knowledge on fabrics and furniture will give you the best information to make good quality choices for your home and office.

Our History

Established in 2007, Razzberry Wimzy was founded by Sherry Hays and the business started in her garage that had been converted into a workroom in Lone Jack Missouri. In 2012, she was introduced to First Fridays in the West Bottoms and began renting a space in the West Bottoms. This is where she first began furniture painting and upholstery. Upholstery was just a natural next step as she had been progressing in her sewing. From a doll quilt she made when she was a child to prom dresses in high school, if it was something that could be made, she made it. Quality craftsmanship is rooted within her family, her grandfather was a cabinet maker, her father a carpenter, and her mother a seamstress and artist. Sherry now has her own store front in downtown Lee’s Summit and has grown her service offerings to include custom soft home furnishings, upholstery, new and refurbished furniture, home decor, and design styling.

Sherry believes that working with her hands is what she was designed to do. Making something thing of beauty, whether it be from raw materials or something re-purposed, brings her great joy.
